With Manchester United and Manchester city, the premier leagues top two sides being knocked out of the champions league at the group stages; is the quality of English football really falling?..
Some may say so however I believe that the reason for Premier League clubs suffering in europe is due to the highly competitive league they play in week-in-week-out in contrast to top team in other european leagues e.g. Barcelona, Milan etc.. are faced with nowhere near the sort of challenge English clubs are faced with every week. Personally I see this is a good thing. No; we are not doing aswell in europe but an entertaining, captivating and truly exhilerating domestic league surely makes up for it!
The work loads faced by a demanding calendar is the main contributing factor. Christmas break? please, don't be rediculous who are we? Spaniards? I think not..
